Inauguration of Second President , Dr Su Guaning 2003 (65'17")

Dr Su Guaning is inaugurated as the second President of NTU and the successor to former President Dr Cham Tao Soon. The inauguration ceremony, held at the Nanyang Auditorium on 28 March 2003, officially marked Prof Su's ascend as the new man at the helm. Prof Su Guaning giving his speech. In Prof Su's speech, he urged all students, staff and alumni to work towards a change in name to 'Nanyang University' by year 2005. That is also the year NTU is expected to become a comprehensive university. He also pledged to make 'the University student-centric and professors-centric' and 'everyone else, Vice President, Deans, Deputy Presidents and President are at the bottom supporting them'.
