This year's high-octane, high-decibel event takes place on the second day of the Dragon Boat Festival at the Marina Promenade. First mooted by Mr Goh Chok Tong in 1999, the NUS-NTU Dragon Boat Race may be likened to the keenly contested annual boat race between Oxford University and Cambridge University. NTU teams had worked hard to receive : the 1st in Tertiary Open (Mixed), the 1st in Tertiary Open (Men), and the 1st in Tertiary Open (Women). NUS clinched the Prime Minister's Challenge Trophy.
