Nanyang Technological University will begin its maiden voyage at Chingay Parade 2009 on 30 and 31 January with an impressive first float.
This year’s theme, Project Wonderland, has inspired the NTU faculty team to bring three dragons to life that are engineered without any tresses or support structures. Faculty members namely from NTU’s School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), School of Computer Engineering (SCE) and School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) have designed and developed an engineering marvel to wow crowds with fire-spitting dragons accompanied by water and light effects.
Come cheer on team NTU, show your support and experience the exhilaration of this Chinese New Year tradition at Singapore’s main shopping artery. The three animated dragon float is one of the parade’s grand opening items.
